Abstract

INTRODUCTION. Design as a project discipline allows to build references and contexts from visual communication, these in turn are part of interfaces in virtual products that generate interactions and communication. Creating these spaces depends on the Diagramming that configures texts and images in functional structures, which are executed by means of specialized software for the creation of images. OBJECTIVE. To develop a friendly user interface for teaching programming to children, based on the accompaniment of a conversational agent. METHOD. The approach of the study is mixed, gathering information from students and teachers through surveys and participatory design in the co-design of the conversational agent. RESULTS. Affirmative actions were found with respect to the use and interest in the conversational agent and the activities that are developed, in addition, the requirements that users have regarding an interface for teaching programming were identified. DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSIONS. The participation of students in the co-design of an interface is a key factor, because it allows identifying the route to follow for the design and diagramming of the interface in order to make it user-friendly and easy to use. The study has identified the characteristics that the interface and the conversational agent should have according to the needs of the educational environment.
