Inventario de los Sistemas Ancestrales de Construcción en la Parroquia La Matriz, Cantón Ambato, Provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract
Se realizó un inventario de las construcciones ancestrales que aún se encuentran en pie en la parroquia La Matriz, del cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua. Ante la falta de información, la toma de datos para lograr un inventario de los sistemas constructivos tradicionales se realizó mediante trabajo de campo y encuestas. Posteriormente se procedió a la catalogación y ubicación catastral. Se identificó el uso de la piedra, adobe, tapial, bahareque y la mezcla de ellos en edificaciones mixtas de piedra-tapial, piedra-bahareque y piedra-piedra. El resultado de este estudio es el primer inventario tipológico-constructivo de los sistemas tradicionales utilizados en esta parroquia.
